transcendent

is a concept or entity that surpasses our experience (i.e. God) whereas the transcendental is that which pertains to the possibility of our experiential knowledge, both in the sense of our pre-ontological understanding of being and the explicit conceptual interpretation of it.

These three elements, noema, noesis, and hyle, remain hidden, although they are crucial to the way we experience the world. Husserl called them transcendental.
