Führerworte (n.) had ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠the force of law — the Führer's words — so any order contrary to a word spoken by Hitler was, by definition, unlawful.
