Mandarin Chinese is the most commonly spoken language on earth.

Nüshu, a woman-only Chinese script, used it to write letters, poetry, and even autobiographies. Woman who knew Nüshu arguably had far more intellectual freedom because men could not read it.

The Chinese poem "Lion-Eating Poet in the Stone Den," or "Shī shì shí shī shǐ" is solely composed of "shi" 92 times, but pronounced with different tones.
