The Microaggression (n.) is, ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠its critics claim, problematic as an idea insofar as it is a symptom of the breakdown in civil discourse. Those things we condemn people for under the label of microaggressions used to be dismissed as simple 'well-meaning faux pas.
