Same-sex marriage is harmful to society in that it threatens to enshrine into law the notion that sexual love, regardless of its fecundity, is the sole criterion for marriage, leading to marital chaos in which there is no legitimate argument against polygamy.

Same-sex marriage is not a valid civil rights issue because living wills or power of attorney gives access to hospital visitation, nd inheritance, and the only benefits of marriage from which homosexual couples are restricted are those that are costly to the state and society.

Same-sex marriage is not a valid civil rights issue, but rather simply counts as one of the many and sundry ways the state regulates the institution of marriage consistent with its interests in propagating society through the production of children.
