Brahman (n.) is ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠the Knower, which knows other things but cannot make itself the object of its own knowing, as fire burns other things but not itself.

Knower (n.) can ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠know other things but never make himself its object, as fire burns other things but cannot burn itself.
