Taxes is best kept low. Lower taxes are a win win for everyone in that they will stimulate one's own personal economy by leaving more money in one's pocket to do what one wants (invest, save, spend, buy a bigger house, a nicer car, and give to charity) and will also lead to more money for the government to use on those things they've promised one.
