Intelligence is a bio-psychological potential to process information that can be activated in a cultural setting to solve problems or create products that are of value in a culture.

Intelligence is a thing which, to count as intelligence, it must fulfill eight criteria: (1) potential for brain isolation by brain damage (2) place in evolutionary history (3) presence of core operations (4) susceptibility to encoding (symbolic expression), (5) a distinct developmental progression, (6) the existence of savants, prodigies and other exceptional people, (7) support from experimental psychology (8) support from psychometric findings.

Multiple intelligences is an approach to intelligence that encourages teachers to individualize teaching styles and to teach important materials in multiple ways.

Multiple intelligences is divided into the eight categories (plus two more) of: (1) musical-rhythmic intelligence (2) visual-spatial intelligence (3) verbal-linguistic intelligence (4) logical-mathematical intelligence (5) bodily-kinesthetic intelligence (6) interpersonal intelligence (7) intrapersonal intelligence (8)naturalistic intelligence (9) existential intelligence (10) moral intelligence.

Schooling 1s 2urpose should be to develop intelligences and to help people reach vocational and avocational goals that are appropriate to their particular spectrum of intelligences.
