John PordageThinkers

Blackness (n.) is ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌not to be scorned in the work: Pordage finds light inside that darkness, life inside that death, love inside that fury — bear it with patience, suffering and silence.

God (n.) is ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌concealed in the pure nature, which is your true selfhood, like a kernel in a nutshell: know yourself rightly and you will know God.

Will (n.) given ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌over by man and left patient and still as a dead nothing lets the Tincture do everything in us and for us — but how hard and bitter this is before the will can stay calm with all the fire let loose in its sight.
