Throughthout these studies in social structure, i have been intent on finding a way to incorporate meaning in a systematic way. In a neo-Kantian mode but in Dilthey's and Weber's historicizing spirit, i have done so by insisting that culture is a dimension of all action, not a variable that stands off to one, even if very important side.
