The Book is sacred in that it is a way that an author can communicate with generations that have not turned up yet. People in ancient egypt, rome, GREECE, 1920s new york can communicate to us and change the way we think and the things that we believe.

The Cat does not have or need a name, because unlike people, it knows who it is.

Empathy is a tool for building people into groups, for allowing us to function as more than self-obsessed individuals.

The Fairy tale is more than true... not because fairy tales tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

The Imagination is a muscle. If it is not exercised, it atrophies.

The Mistake is a thing one should hope to make, because if one is making mistakes, then one is making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing oneself, changing oneself, changing one's world.

The Story matters only to the extent that we care about the people in it.
