The City is a tragic testament to the fact that man can become adapted to starless skies, treeless avenues, shapeless buildings, tasteless bread, joyless celebrations.

The City is guilty of the crime of a wholesale and constant exposure of children to noise, ugliness and garbage in the street, thereby conditioning them to accept public squalor as the normal state of affairs and diminishing their future enjoyment of life.

Decision is always a murder, thus our march forward is always over the stillborn bodies of all our possible selves that we'll never be.

Environmental crisis does not threaten to destroy man as such (who is a survivor able to tolerate direct, and, pollution, and noise) but the quality of human life.
