An Apparatus is a tool (like photography) which unlike mechanical tools which change the world itself, changes the meaning of the world.

A Functionary is the operator of the camera who is bound by the rules it sets.

A Technical image is an image which looks like a traditional image, but harbours encoded and obscure concepts that cannot be 'immediately' deciphered.
