Colonization is a hegemonic notion in postcolonial studies such that we have undergone the intellectual colonization of colonization.

Colonization works like this: when the missionaries came to Africa, they had the Bible and we [Africans] had the land. They said, "Let us pray." We closed our eyes. When we opened them, we had the Bible and they had the land.

Honey bees aren't native to North America. They were brought by the colonists. The so-called "white man's fly" spread out faster than the white man himself and came to indicate the approach of European settlers.
Colonization is a condition in which the conquered nation is like a man with cancer; he can think of nothing else.
colonization is worse than we think --- Only two African nations, Ethiopia and Liberia, were never colonized by European nations.
Colonization is the creation of an inferiority complex in the soul of the colonized by the death and burial of its local cultural originality. One is elevated above his jungle status in proportion to one's adoption of the colonizer's country's cultural standards.
Colonization was suffered by all but two African nations, Ethiopia and Liberia.

Colonization is a broad phenomenon in which we are all colonized, since as children we are introduced into cultures, territories, laws and identities which we eventually identify as `ours'.
