Freedom from pain (n.) is ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠not the same as pleasure: a man who, not being thirsty himself, mixes a drink for another does not feel the pleasure of the thirsty man who drinks it.
