Intersex (n.) confuses ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠the categories — the intersex body does not fall outside the categories of sex but confuses and redistributes their elements, exposing sex as an illusory substrate for the attributes.

Intersex (n.) is ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠experienced as the vacillation itself: the moment our categories fail to read the body as a man's or a woman's is the experience of that body.
