Manic depression (n.) rides ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌the pyramid of being: one sign of esteem sets the sufferer on its summit, one sign of disdain turns it upside down and leaves him at the point, crushed under the whole universe.
