sun wheel, n.All

The Sun wheel (n.) was ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌drawn on Stone Age rocks before the wheel was invented — so it pictures an inner experience, as lifelike in its way as the rhinoceros beside it.

The Sun wheel (n.) is ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌perhaps the oldest religious idea there is: Paleolithic people carved it before real wheels existed, so the invention may have started from the vision.
