The Tao is neither about knowing or not knowing: Knowing is false understanding... not knowing is blind ignorance.

The Tao is beyond all value, and cannot be achieved in the way way that honor can be bought with fine words or respect can be won with good deeds.

The Tao is immediately embodied by the superior man when he hears it. When an average man hears it, he half believes it, half doubts it. When a foolish man hears it, he laughs out loud. If he didn't laugh, it wouldn't be the tao.
