Military rule (n.) cannot ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠be read off the head of state's clothes: an army can rule perfectly well behind a president in a business suit.
