is a mode of interacting with objects subjectively, not as if they were autonomous entities but as the 'bundle of perceptions' which they present themselves as.

Winnicott uses the term 'object-relating' to refer to the situation in which thesubject interacts with the object as if it were 'a bundle of projections' (Winnicott,1969). 'Object use', on the other hand, implies the subject's recognition that an objectexist in its own right and has its own properties:. . .
