The Parable of the talents (n.) punishes ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠the servant by his own image of his master: he feared a harsh reaper, and the harshness he got was the one he had built.
