Principle is overrated. Persons are better than principles, and persons with no principles are better still.
Principle is a malleable thing. Those are my principles, and if you don't like them, well, I have others.
Principle is a ruse. When someone says 'it ain't the money but the principle of the thing, it's the money.
Principle is unique to every man. We would do well to judge people by their own principles, not our own.
Principle either held firmly to or not held at all. To give in even the slightest with regard to principles is to give them up, and to give them up is to give up one's self.
Principle must necessarily be ever in flux. Because things always and inevitably change, there can be no absolute formulas for living other than to live with constant discovery and constant openness to adventure in heightened awareness of living.
