is a paradoxically self-destructive logic whereby masters try to justify their privilege as top-humans by dehumanizing their slaves (via rape, beatings, and other brutalities) which only results in them dehumanizing themselves.

The rapes, beatings, and overall brutality, plus the prospect that any slave could be sold away to an even worse fate at any time, made their existence the same as that of subjects of a capricious tyrant.
