Truth is for Heidegger 'unhiddenness [Unverborgenheit]' or 'unconcealment [Entborgenheit]'. All unhiddenness depends on man and unhiddenness is essential to him: 'Man is not transferred as Da-sein into an open realm as a pair of shoes is placed before the door of a room... as Da-sein man is the wandering abandonment into the open, whose openness and lighting is the world' (XLLX, 43).
