high office, n.All

High office (n.) and ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌wicked men disgrace each other: the post exposes the man, and the man soils the post.

High office (n.) does ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌not make the unworthy worthy; it puts their unworthiness on public display.
