Hosea, n.All

Hosea (n.) reads ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌history as a single drama where Amos saw only scenes.

Hosea (n.) tells ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌what God felt for Israel; Amos tells what God did for it.

Hosea (n.) discovered ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌that his broken marriage was a mirror: his grief was an echo of God's.

Hosea (n.) finished ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌what Amos began: Amos showed a God who demands justice, Hosea a God who is in love.

Hosea (n.) marriage ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌(n.) was not a stage prop for the people but an apprenticeship: it taught Hosea himself how God feels.
