lumpenproletariat, n.All

The Lumpenproletariat (n.) is ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌the dangerous class, the social scum, the passively rotting mass thrown off by the lowest layers of old society, and its conditions of life prepare it far more to be a bribed tool of reaction than a force of revolution.

The Lumpenproletariat (n.) is ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌a mass apart from the industrial workers, living on the crumbs of society, as capable of the most heroic sacrifice as of the basest banditry, bought by the government at 1 franc 50 a day and put in uniform against the proletariat.
