Canonization (n.) is ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠not the same as making sacred; the sacrificial traces in glorifying martyrs are real but secondary.
