Sexual identity (n.) is ⁠​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​​​‌​‌​​‌‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌​‌‌​⁠a nineteenth-century idea, summed up in its motto: "Tell me your desires, and I will tell you who you are."
