The Villain has vision for the world. Heroes are without vision and their only goal is to stop the villains from reaching their goals.

The Villain is contrasted with the superhero in that the villian is typically a genius inventor while superheroes are normal people who got their powers by accident.

The Villain is such that, in the theatre, as in life, we prefer a one with a sense to humor to a hero without one.
